Currently Dr. Cote is only offering virtual therapy sessions.
Virtual therapy allows us to meet consistently and flexibly while maintaining depth and connection. Many clients find that meeting from their own space helps them feel more comfortable and grounded.
All sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. -
Dr. Cote currently accepts Aetna insurance plans in both New Jersey & New York.
She does not accept insurance other insurance providers at this time.

Dr. Cote accepts credit cards, debit cards, HSA cards, and FSA cards. Payments are processed securely through a HIPAA-compliant client portal.

Appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance before the scheduled time to avoid being charged the cancellation fee.
The cancellation fee is $125 per session.
Insurance does not cover a cancellation fee nor can it be applied to your superbill.
You can cancel an appointment by emailing Dr. Cote or calling and leaving a message.

All information shared in therapy is confidential and will not be disclosed without your written consent, except in circumstances where disclosure is required by law.
This includes situations involving suspected abuse or neglect of a child, dependent adult, or elder; when a client poses a serious risk of harm to themselves or others; or when therapy records are subpoenaed as part of a legal proceeding in which mental health has been placed at issue.

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form to schedule a 15-minute consultation call or an initial intake session. Dr. Cote will respond via email within 2 business days to schedule.

What makes Dr. Cote’s approach different is her emphasis on connection, collaboration, and individualized care. She takes the time to build rapport and establish a strong therapeutic relationship before moving into deeper therapeutic work. Dr. Cote believes that therapy works best when clients have an active voice in the process, with treatment goals developed collaboratively based on what matters most to them.
Her background in clinical psychology, counseling, and school psychology also provides her with a broad perspective on emotional, behavioral, developmental, and relational concerns across the lifespan. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and families and tailors her approach to each client’s developmental stage, experiences, strengths, and needs.
Dr. Cote also places a strong emphasis on cultural humility and creating a safe, inclusive therapeutic environment. She recognizes that clients' identities, cultures, communities, histories, and lived experiences—including experiences of privilege and oppression—can shape their mental health and well-being. She strives to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported while exploring both the challenges and strengths that shape their lives.

Working with Dr. Cote is a collaborative and individualized experience grounded in trust, connection, and mutual respect. She takes the time to get to know each client and build rapport before moving into deeper therapeutic work, recognizing that feeling comfortable and understood is an important foundation for therapy. Clients are active participants in the process, working with Dr. Cote to identify meaningful goals and determine what they would like to focus on. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, while also incorporating evidence-based strategies to support meaningful change. Whether working with a child, teen, adult, or family, Dr. Cote strives to create a safe and inclusive space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported as they navigate challenges, develop new skills, and work toward growth.

Dr. Cote is currently licensed in New Jersey and New York state.
Legally, this means that Dr. Cote’s clients need to be located in either New Jersey or New York when she is providing mental health services to them - even when it is virtual.
Dr. Cote cannot see clients located in any other state besides NY or NJ or outside of the country.
